December Blog Hop: Christmas Traditions

🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄 December Blog Hop: Christmas Traditions: If you have come here Kerry's fantastic Blog then you are on the right Blog Hop. It is so fantastic to see what everyone has as their Christmas Traditions.  For our family we have had many traditions, some have lasted and some have been modified. And as our children grew up I am sure there will be many more changes to our Christmas traditions! Today I have chosen to create a page about the building of our Christmas Tree. I so love to put on some Christmas music and have fun with our children, building and decorating our Tree. We also have a few extra decorations that go around the house . I started with colonial white card stock and stamped the tree from Woodland Wishes (D1696) in Emerald and Willow inks. I did the original stamp and then a 2nd stamp to give a lighter shade of the same colour.  Pretty happy with the way it turned out. Next I used the pi

Free Scapbooking Page Layout

I really love this page layout from the Close To My Heart Blog. It is such a simple idea but very effective. You could repeat this with different papers and have a completely different feel. Love the generosity of this company to share so many different ideas. That is why we are the "Let me show you How" Company. Click Here

What Spring Means to Me

What Spring Means to Me,  Yes Spring is here at last. The weather is warm one moment and raining the next. If you have come from Kerry's Creative Collection then you are on the right blog hop for October.  So what does Spring mean for you. Some of you it will be birthdays, or footy finals, or time to clean some area of the house out for hard garbage!  For me it is my garden blooms that I really love. I decided to do something a little different for a page this time.  I choose a flower background, from Artistry Cricut Cartridge and then placed it on my page. I used various daubers to apply ink from my ink pads on top of the flower back ground.  This picture show the ink pads that I used, especially the new Emerald colour. I do love how easy the new magnetic ink pads are to open. I really loved how the flower pattern turned out and I may even use this part on another page. Here is the end result of my daubers. I then filled in some of the blank spots with so

September Blog Hop...... "Copy This" How fantastic! We have looked through the Annual Expressions and "copied" an item that we really love! I had so much fun, although it was a little hard to pick which item to copy.  If you have come here from Wendy Watson's lovely page then you are on the right track. This is what I decided to copy: It is on page 29. I really love the natural papers. And they will go so nicely with my Dad's old YHA photos. I decided just to so the same base for both pages. Cut the outer strips at 3 inches and the middle wood pattern paper at 6 inches. Next I cut the gold embossed sheet at 1/2 inch strips. As this paper is sheer, I used the Bonding Memories Glue to stick it to the page. Oh so easy. Next was the exciting part when I picked some of my Dad's old YHA photos to go on the page. It was really nice working with our colour of the year Sea Glass! Too many photos for me to individually mount, so mounted them

Awesome August Blog Hop.... Celebrating the new Annual Ideas book and catalogue. How are you surviving our very wet and cold winter?  At least it is a great time to get some crafting done indoors!  If you have come from Wendy's wonderful blog post then you are on the correct blog hop! There are so many lovely new products in the 16/17 catalogue, it was hard to choose what to blog about. But then I had a little trial of the shimmer pen. I am so in love with this simple to use pen. When your pen arrives, you will need to remove the plastic part in the middle. Then continually turn it until it gives a little pop and you are now set to go. With a gentle squeeze the wonderful shimmer just glides down the brush and onto your project. Here are a couple of butterflies, the one on the left with no shimmer pen and the one on the right with shimmer pen. With just a few strokes it turned an ordinary butterfly into something really special.(You may need to come and visit to

July Blog Hop..... Pets. Welcome to our Pet Blog Hop.  If you have come from Kerry's wonderful Blog then you are on the correct Blog Hop. So who has any pets?? Have you taken many photos of them? Some of them can be very tricky to take photos of, especially if they move very fast!  In our house we have 2 rabbits and one cat. (and 2 children, do they count as pets?) Our rabbits, Summer and Star, enjoy the back of our garage and I think our cat, Scamp, just tolerates us in his house!  We found one photo of Scamp from this year, so thought it was time to send my children on the secret mission to take photos of our pets. Then I was delighted as Caitlin wanted to help me create the pages for each of them. It's a Cats Life Page. We started with some ideas from Pinterest and then pulled out the Magical paper pack . With the idea in our heads it was a matter of choosing which papers to go where. While I was sorting out the papers, Caitlin was busy with the alphabet s

Welcome to June's Close To My Heart, Blog Hop. This month we are looking at the Winter theme.... If you have come here from Julie Morrison's Blog page then you are on the right Blog Hop. Winter is definitely here with lots of cold and wet days. I wonder what does Winter mean to you. For our family it means watching footy, roasting marshmallows on our open fire, Hockey games, seeing free fireworks in at Docklands and having fun with wet weather days at school.  Sometimes we go to the snow, sometimes we stay in the city, and sometimes it is a chance to do things around the home. Out of all the things we do in Winter, I have chosen some Auskick photos. Tim has played footy with Auskick for 6 years and this is our first winter without it. So I am walking down memory lane with some footy photos from last year. (And I am working on last years family album so it does fit nicely!)  These pages have been inspired by fellow CTMH consultants Wendy Potts and Danni Edwards. They

May Blog Hop: My Favourite product from Seasonal Expression 2! Oh I so love getting a new catalog as it is just like Christmas has come early! I'm glad this is our Seasonal Expressions as there are a number of products I liked and loved. Now if you have come here from Michelle's Blog Page , then you are on the right Blog Hop for May! I really love our water paper and water paints, but there are times when I have spilled my paint brush water all over the project I am working on. Now we have .....     Water Brushes! These are brilliant as you can open them up and put the water inside. Then when you want to use them simply take the cap off, gently squeeze them and the water comes out through the brush.  Oh so much fun and NO MESS & No dirty water to clean up afterwards! Here is a short clip to show you a little more information about the brushes. My 2 lovely children helped me to make the clip and we had lots of fun and a few laughs! I had

Mother's Day April Blog Hop

Image
April Blog Hop "Mothers Day" Welcome to my April Blog Hop with the theme of "Mother's Day" The great part of Blog Hops is that you can gain a lot of different ideas with just a few clicks!!  If you have come from Julie's Blog then you are on the right track.  Mother's Day means so many things to so many people. To be truthful this is a little hard for me to write about Mother's Day, since my mother ended her life a number of years ago at age 79.  But life does go on and we still do our Mother's Day Traditions.  My children also love to shower me with gifts, (really early in the morning) and then serve me pancakes for breakfast.  Afternoon Tea is when the fine china comes out and we share it with my lovely (92 year old) mother in law and my father.  So what did my creative juices create for today?? I was inspired by a card I saw on pinterest. Then I just changed it a little to suit the colours that my mother in law likes.
